The Odisha government has released the second instalment of ₹14.34 crore to eligible higher education institutions under the Gyanodaya - Shiksha Ru Samruddhi scheme for the 2026-27 academic session. The funding is aimed at supporting the implementation of the state’s KG-to-PG free education initiative and reducing financial barriers for eligible students.
The latest release accounts for 15% of the approved assistance under the scheme. Earlier, the Higher Education Department had disbursed ₹9.56 crore as the first instalment, taking the total amount released so far to ₹23.90 crore. The funds have been routed through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
